Obviously, even with the switch some of my hosting problems remain. On the plus side, these people actually respond politely and in English. We’ll see how it goes. I managed to get Greymatter installed last night before things started acting up. With luck, I’ll have this Public Address 1.0 back online by the end of the weekend. There’s been a weird problem on rebuilds, but things seem mostly intact. CGI’s have been acting really funky on this server today. I can only hope it is, as my host assures me—a temporary problem. I can live with that.
One of the creative parts of the reply I received is that my site is in “recess.” I have no idea if this is a geek-speak definition of an access problem.
I’ve had visions today of my site running and jumping on a playground somewhere.
I can only hope it is playing well with others, and not picking fights with the republicans and zealots on the playground. I wouldn’t want it to end up in the principal’s office like I always did. That would be bad.
