What a wonderful photograph. I’m always amazed at the way black and white gets to the core of a subject. The last time I was in Bakersfield was in the early eighties, and the only thing on my mind was getting the hell out of there. I didn’t know of the windmills in nearby Tehachapi, so imagine my surprise when I rounded a bend and saw something like this.
